Mathematische Forschungssoftwareentwicklung (englisch Research Software Engineering, RSEng) beschäftigt sich als Schnittstellenwissenschaft zwischen Mathematik, Softwaretechnik und Offener Wissenschaft mit der Entwicklung und Anwendung von Softwareentwicklungsmethoden und -werkzeugen im Kontext der mathematischen Forschung.
