Thermodynamic Modeling and Analysis of Phase Transitions

(Head: Dr. B. Wagner) to be filled at the earliest possible date.

The position is associated with the research project

Mathematical modelling of cellular self-organization

on stimuli responsive extracellular matrix

within the Berlin Mathematics Research Center MATH+.

The research will concern the mathematical modeling of free boundary problems for hydrogels interacting with migrating cell populations. The research will be conducted in close collaboration with Prof. Sara Checa Esteban, Dr. Ansgar Petersen, (Charité).

The successful candidate will have completed university degree in mathematics or theoretical physics, knowledge of partial differential equations, and working experience in the numerical implementation of coupled systems of PDEs.

The appointment is limited until 31.12.2021. The reduced work schedule is 29,25 hours per week, and the salary is according to the German TVoeD scale.
