Numerics for innovative semiconductor devices

(Head: Dr. Patricio Farrell) starting at the earliest possible date.

The candidate will work on numerical discretization techniques for partial differential equations (finite volume methods) for semiconductor applications. The candidate is expected to hold a doctorate in mathematics or a related area. Furthermore, the candidate should have worked with at least one programming language (such as e.g. Matlab, Python, C++, Julia) and have a decent command of the English language. It is desirable if the candidate has experience with team work and an interest in interdisciplinary research. The group has generous travel funds as well as international partners, for example in England, Scotland and Italy.

The appointment is initially limited for three years. The work schedule is 39 hours per week, and the salary is according to the German TVoeD scale.
