in the Research Group

”Laser Dynamics”

(Head: Priv.-Doz Dr. Uwe Bandelow) starting at the earliest possible date.

The research of this group is concerned with the mathematical theory of Nonlinear Dynamics and their application to spatio-temporal phenomena in optoelectronics and photonics.

Applicants are expected to have a university degree in mathematics or physics (PhD required) and some background in the theory of Nonlinear Dynamics and/or its applications.

Especially welcome are experiences in one of the following fields:

  • delay-differential equations, dynamics of coupled systems
  • soliton theory
  • modeling of photonic devices

The candidates are expected to perform their independent research projects and to collaborate in applied industrial projects of the group.

The initial appointment is for two years and can be extended. The work schedule is 39 hours per week, and the salary is according to the German TVoeD scale.
