”Nonlinear Optimization and Inverse
Problems”
(Head: Prof. Dr. Dietmar Hömberg) to be filled as of now.
Applicants
are expected to have a university degree (PhD preferred) and an intimate
knowledge of one of the following topics
-
optimal
control or shape optimization subject to PDE constraints,
-
direct
and inverse problems for stochastic PDEs,
-
nonlinear
optimization,
and the willingness to collaborate responsibly in
applied industrial projects.

The initial
appointment is for three years and can be extended. The work schedule is 39
hours per week, and the salary is according to the German TVoeD scale.
