Abstract
- The first note is devoted to the problem of objectivity of momentum sources in two-component models
of porous materials. It is shown that the so-called relative acceleration cannot contribute to these sources
in an objective manner. This argument as well as an analysis of an order of magnitude of various
contributions yield the conclusion that an added mass in Biot's model should be neglected.
- The second note contains an explicit solution of a one-dimensional consolidation problem.
Its aim is to create a bench-mark program for various numerical codes of two-dimensional
consolidation problems.
