Research Assistant Position

in the Research Group

”Interacting Random Systems”

(Head: Prof. Dr. Wolfgang König) starting at June 1, 2017, in the ECMath project Data mobility in ad-hoc networks: Vulnerability & security”. The aim of the project is the probabilistic analysis of a model for random spread of malware over a random street system and a statistical testing using the software provided by an industrial partner.

 

Applicants are expected to have a university degree (Master or Diploma) in Mathematics or Physics and the willingness to collaborate responsibly in an interdisciplinary project with an industrial partner. An intimate knowledge of one of the following topics

-          Spatial  stochastic models,

-          Stochastic processes,

-          Random structures,

as well as software programming skills are desirable. The successful candidate will have the possibility to conduct a PhD thesis.

The initial appointment is limited until December 31, 2018. The work schedule and the salary is according to the German TVoeD scale (75%).
