The Weierstrass Institute for Applied Analysis and Stochastics (WIAS) is an institute of the Forschungsverbund Berlin e.V. (FVB). The FVB comprises eight non-university research institutes in Berlin which are funded by the federal and state governments. The research institutes are members of the Leibniz Association.

 WIAS invites applications for two

Research positions

in the research groups

“Partial Differential Equations”

(head: Prof. Dr. A. Mielke)  and

“Interacting Random Systems“

(head: Prof. Dr. W. König) starting at the earliest possible date.

Please direct your queries to Prof. A. Mielke (Alexander.Mielke@wias-berlin.de) or to Prof. W. König (Wolfgang.Koenig@wias-berlin.de).

Prerequisite for the position is a degree in mathematics (diploma/master/PhD) as well as sound knowledge in the areas of analysis and stochastics. Moreover, successful candidates should have the strong willingness or have proved experience in combining mathematical methods from analysis and stochastics.
