Masakazu Suzuki: Adaptive method for the digitization of mathematical journals
ABSTRACT
We have been developing the Math OCR software "InftyReader" for more than ten
years. It recognizes scanned images or PDF of mathematical documents including
various formulae of pure and applied mathematics and outputs the results
in various "editable" form documents such as XML, LaTeX sources, MathML,
Word documents, etc.
In the talk, with some demonstration, our approach to digitize large
volumes of mathematical journals based on the adaptive method will be presented.
