About INP

The Leibniz Institute for Plasma Science and Technology (INP) in Greifswald conducts research on low-temperature plasmas and their technological applications.
Researchers from disciplines such as physics, chemistry, biology, medicine and engineering work together to understand plasma processes and develop plasma-based technologies. Research at the INP ranges from fundamental plasma science to application-oriented developments. Plasma technologies are investigated for applications in areas such as medicine, environmental protection, agriculture and industrial production.
The institute is located close to the campus of the University of Greifswald, in the north-east of Germany near the Baltic Sea coast.
