The scientists of the three departments are engaged in numerous national and international research activities. A wide scientific and technical expertise together with an advance infrastructure and modern equipment offer excellent research conditions. The annual budget of the IAP is about 7 Mio Euro and it employs (status of November 2015) 83 people, including 19 PhD students. It realizes an equal-opportunity and family-friendly human resource policy and is certified with the audit "berufundfamile" ('career and family').
