Abstract submission


There will be slots for contributed talks by young female participants.

If you want to give a talk, please register with title and abstract via the registration form.

Late submission of abstract is possible, by editing your response to the registration form. In this case, find the copy of response you received in your mailbox under the registered email address, and click the blue "Edit response" button to edit.

The deadline for abstract submission is June 30, 2022. Decisions will be made by July 31, 2022.

Deadline to register with application for a talk or financial support is June 30, 2022 (now closed!). Ordinary registration will be open until September 30, 2022. We confirm participations on a first come first served basis.

Financial support


Financial support is available for female postdocs, PhD and Master students.

Please indicate via the registration form whether you apply for financial support, and give an estimate of the travel and accommodation cost.
Additionally please submit a short CV to jfrp22@wias-berlin.de by June 30, 2022.

For PhD and Master students, please provide the contact of your scientific supervisor in the registration form, and have a short recommendation letter sent to jfrp22@wias-berlin.de by June 30, 2022.

Decisions will be made by July 31, 2022.

About the workshop

The goal of the workshop is to offer junior female researchers in stochastics a platform to talk about their own research work and to get acquainted with important research topics presented by well-established female researchers.

To cover various topics in probability and its applications, two keynote talks by outstanding female probabilists and four invited talks are planned. Moreover, a number of contributed talks will be chosen by the organizing committee among the submitted abstracts.

Contributing a talk / Applying for financial support

We warmly invite whomever identifies as female to apply for a contributed talk, by submitting a title and an abstract in the registration form. The possibility to attend the workshop is of course open to everybody (also male participants are very welcome). However, the contributed talks and the financial support will be reserved for female researchers only.

Please register first. Abstract could be updated later in the registration form. Please send seperately the supporting documents for financial funds via email.

The deadline for applying for a contributed talk and/or financial support is June 30, 2022.
Decisions will be made by July 31, 2022.
