Institute for Applied Analysis and Stochastics (WIAS)
is an institute of the Forschungsverbund Berlin e.V. (FVB). The FVB comprises eight non-university research
institutes in Berlin which are funded by the federal and state governments. The
research institutes are members of the Leibniz Association.
WIAS invites applications for a
Research position
in the Research Group
“Stochastic Algorithms and Nonparametric
Statistics”
(Head: Prof. Dr. V. Spokoiny)
starting at the earliest possible date (Ref.
13/14).
We are looking for a mathematician with
university degree (PhD) with interest in stochastic analysis and its
applications. It is expected that the successful candidate contributes, also in
collaboration with others, to the ERC Project "Rough path theory, differential equations and stochastic analysis", under the guidance of its
Principal Investigator, Prof. Dr. Peter K. Friz

The appointment is limited for two years. The work
schedule is 39 hours per week, and the salary is according to the German TvoeD scale.
