The Weierstrass Institute for Applied Analysis and Stochastics (WIAS) is an institute of the Forschungsverbund Berlin e.V. (FVB). WIAS invites applications for a

Research position

in the Research Group

“Stochastic Algorithms and Nonparametric Statistics”

(Head: Prof. Dr. V. Spokoiny) starting at the earliest possible date (Ref. 13/14).

 

We are looking for a mathematician with university degree (PhD) with interest in stochastic analysis and its applications. It is expected that the successful candidate contributes, also in collaboration with others, to the ERC Project "Rough path theory, dierential equations and stochastic analysis", under the guidance of its Principal Investigator, Prof. Dr. Peter K. Friz

The appointment is limited for two years. The work schedule is 39 hours per week, and the salary is according to the German TvoeD scale.
