The Weierstrass Institute
for Applied Analysis and Stochastics (WIAS) is an
institute of the Forschungsverbund Berlin e.V. (FVB). The FVB comprises eight non-university research
institutes in Berlin which are funded by the federal and state governments. The
research institutes are members of the Leibniz Association.
WIAS invites applications for a
Research position
(Ref. 13/12)
in the research group
“Partial Differential Equations“
(head: Prof.
Dr. A. Mielke) or
“Numerical Mathematics and
Scientific Computing“
(head: Prof.
Dr. V. John) starting at the earliest
possible date.
We are looking for a
mathematician/physicist with university degree (diploma/master/PhD) being
interested in the mathematical modeling and numerical simulation of partial
differential equations with applications to organic semiconductor devices.
This position requires the
strong interest in teamwork in an applied interdisciplinary research project in
cooperation with the Institut für
Angewandte Photophysik
(IAPP) of the Technical University of Dresden.
Moreover, a successful candidate should have
experiences in numerical mathematics and simulation of multi-dimensional
problems or in the field of semiconductor physics or organic electronics.
The topics of this project are suited for the
preparation of a dissertation.
Please direct
your queries to Dr. Klaus Gärtner (Klaus.Gaertner@wias-berlin.de).
