A Fourier method for the multifrequency inverse source problem

This talk is concerned with the reconstruction of an unknown source from multi-frequency data obtained from the radiated acoustic fields. Based on a Fourier expansion of the source function, a simple and direct numerical method is proposed to solve the inverse source problem. Stability will be analyzed and numerical experiments will be presented to show the effectiveness and efficiency of the proposed method. This is a joint work with Prof. Deyue Zhang from Jilin University.
