Dynamics of Delay Equations, Theory and Applications - Abstract
Jaurigue, Lina
Passively mode-locked semiconductor lasers are a compact and inexpensive source of short optical pulses with potential applications in a wide range of fields. By applying time delayed optical feedback to such devices various dynamics can be induced. Optical feedback can be used to tune the pulse repetition rate, to induce harmonic mode-locking or to destabilise the periodic dynamics leading to quasi-periodic or chaotic pulse trains. In this talk we present an analysis of the feedback induced bifurcations of a passively mode-locked laser and the feedback delay time dependence of the dynamics.
