The expertise of the Stuttgart team covers the fields of nonlinear partial differential equations, calculus of variations and continuum mechanics. In particular we are interested in nonlinear effects, such as buckling, hysteresis effects in shape-memory alloys, and elastoplasticity at finite strain.
