The ICMs are oragnised under the auspices of the IMU. It is the IMU that selects the venue from among the bidder countries. The IMU also sets the general guidelines for the organisation which are to be followed by the local organising committee in the country where the congress takes place. The Congress in Hyderabad is receiving generous support from Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India.
The (central government funded) University of Hyderabad is providing much of the infrastructural and administrative support having adopted the conduct of the ICM as a major project.
