Electromagnetics - Modelling, Simulation, Control and Industrial Applications - Abstract

WIAS Berlin is the birthplace of electromagnetic methods for periodic structures (such as gratings) in Germany. Since about 1979, electromagnetic methods have been continuously developed and implemented in that institute. Most of the methods have been used over decades at Carl Zeiss. An overview is given about the history of this development and series of applications in science and industry are presented which have been solved using these methods.
